Overview
The short version
Money Manager is a personal finance tracker that stores all your financial data locally on your device. The app uses Google AdMob to display ads, which requires an internet connection and involves limited data collection by Google for ad serving purposes.
Your financial data — contacts, transactions, notes — is never collected, transmitted, or shared by us. It stays on your device. The only data collection that occurs is by Google AdMob for ad serving, which is described in detail below.
Data
What we collect
Money Manager stores the following data locally on your device only, inside a private Room database that no other app or service can access:
Contact names
Names of people you track payments with. Stored locally, never synced.
Transaction amounts
Amounts lent or borrowed. Stored locally, never synced.
Transaction notes & dates
Optional notes and timestamps you add to transactions. Stored locally, never synced.
Your profile name
The name you set in the app. Stored locally, never synced.
Advertising
Ads & Google AdMob
Money Manager displays advertisements served by Google AdMob. The app shows two types of ads — a banner ad on the home screen and an interstitial ad at natural pause points.
Google AdMob may collect certain device information to serve relevant ads. This data is collected and processed by Google, not by us. We do not receive, store, or have access to any of this data.
The data AdMob may collect includes:
Advertising ID
Google's resettable device identifier used for ad targeting. You can reset or opt out of this in your device Settings → Google → Ads.
IP address
Used by Google to determine approximate location for ad relevance.
Device information
Device model, OS version, and app version for ad compatibility and frequency capping.
Ad interaction data
Whether an ad was viewed or clicked, used by Google to measure ad performance.

To opt out of personalized ads, go to your device Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization.
Network
Internet access
Money Manager requires the INTERNET permission solely to load and display advertisements via Google AdMob. This permission is not used for any other purpose — your financial data is never transmitted over the internet.
Third Parties
Do we share your data?
We do not share your financial data with anyone. The only third-party SDK in this app is Google AdMob, which operates independently for ad serving purposes as described above. Money Manager contains:
No analytics SDKs
No Firebase Analytics, no Mixpanel, no Amplitude.
Google AdMob
Used for displaying banner and interstitial ads. See Advertising section above.
No crash reporting
No Crashlytics, no Sentry. Crashes stay on your device.
No cloud sync
No Google Drive sync, no Firebase, no remote backup of your data.
Your Rights
Deleting your data
You have full control over your financial data at all times. You can:
Delete individual records
Remove any transaction or contact from within the app at any time.
Uninstall to wipe everything
Uninstalling the app permanently deletes all local data. Since your financial data is never stored remotely, uninstalling is a complete wipe.
Clear app data
Use the built-in Clear Data option inside the app under Settings → Danger Zone.
Reset your Advertising ID
Go to Settings → Google → Ads → Reset Advertising ID to disconnect your device from previous ad history.
Children
Children's privacy
Money Manager is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has used this app, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
Updates
Changes to this policy
If this privacy policy changes in the future, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a revised date at the top. Changes may occur if new features are added or if our use of third-party services changes.
Continued use of the app after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
